Head’s up Angelenos – LA Tech is heading to SXSW 2014 Interactive for the third annual showcase featuring 20 of LA’s brightest stars in tech.
Taking place on Sunday, March 9th from 12-6pm, dozens of LA stand-out companies will be on display for all attendees of SXi at this free event. Last year we saw more than 2,000 people come through to check out the latest and greatest from the region.
Not to be out done, this year we’re taking over two venues – that’s right – TWO VENUES. Did we mention one of them is a tequila bar? Have we got your attention?
We’re shedding the Silicon Beach name to put the focus on the broader LA Tech community. The goal of the event is to give people outside the area a snapshot into the diversity of tech in the region and to show we’re a lot more than Hollywood up in herrrrr. We’ve got fashion tech, gaming, data and analytics, advertising technology, eCommerce, mobile, social, and so much more!
Returning presenting partners include Digital LA, Cooley LLP, and Cornerstone OnDemand, our title sponsor, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
A formal release with full details will be issued later this week. In the mean time, companies interested in applying to demo in front of prospective customers, top investors, influencers, and media can apply online.*
If you missed the excitement last year, check out this great video by 4WT Media with shots from the event and interviews with local leaders about what we’re building down here. You can also browse our photo feed.

Having been an attending company last year, it was one of the most exciting event to be a part of for a company. Nicole and Kevin are great at generating a huge buzz around the event and it was a wonderful turnout. We literally had the founder of a competitor who showed up at our booth because they heard that we were participating in the event. It was also a very memorable experience to partake with all of other great companies and represent LA tech in general. As the founder of http://www.retentionscience.com – I highly recommend it.
